Description

Lzro Diary is a cross dimensional transmedia NFT project that chronicles the surreal journey of Lazaro, a mysterious character who documents the appearance of giant creatures invading Earth from alternate dimensions. Told through a series of atmospheric 3D renders, mixed media videos, and collectibles, the project unfolds across Web3 platforms as a speculative diary blending sci fi, horror, and magical realism.

The story follows Lazaro as he captures these anomalies with his camera, uncovering clues to their origin and ultimate purpose. His pursuit leads him through a portal into La Dimensión Imposible, where he encounters Chiri, his ethereal counterpart from another reality.

Timeline

A multiyear journey across storytelling formats and evolving platforms:

  • Year 1 (2021): Initial 3D renders and diary style story fragments minted as NFTs

  • Year 2: Experimental video chapters combining real footage and VFX

  • Year 3: Integration with other narrative universes, crossover with La Dimensión Imposible

  • Now: Ongoing story development, archival releases, and platform expansion

Process

  • Research & Planning: Developed a multi-dimensional storyline, conceptualizing the creatures and environments that Lazaro encounters.

  • Design & Prototyping: Created detailed 3D models and environments to visualize the interdimensional creatures and settings.

  • Development & Implementation: Produced video chapters combining live-action footage with 3D effects, integrating the narrative across various platforms to engage a broader audience.

Background

Born during the early days of NFT culture, Lzro Diary emerged as a personal exploration of grief, digital memory, and otherworldly encounters. It uses speculative fiction to question reality, blending handcrafted storytelling with digital art and immersive media.

Lazaro’s fragmented diary entries mirror the nonlinear structure of the project — memories, visions, and reports from the edge of known existence. The creatures he documents act as metaphors for loss, transition, and the unseen forces shaping our inner and outer worlds.

Research & Planning

Explored hybrid formats for storytelling in the NFT space, experimenting with serial releases, interactive metadata, and alternate reality narratives. Studied techniques from found footage cinema, glitch aesthetics, and video diaries to create an immersive tone.

Design & Prototyping

Prototyped scenes in Blender and After Effects, combining eerie landscapes with 3D augmented real world footage. Crafted diary entries and visual puzzles hidden in the metadata of the NFTs, encouraging deeper engagement.

Development & Implementation

Released a series of digital collectibles, each chapter pushing the visual and narrative boundaries. Merged cinematic techniques with crypto native tools to build a serialized, collectible storyworld. The project culminates (for now) in Lazaro’s passage through a portal into La Dimensión Imposible, creating a canonical link to a broader multiverse.

Final Summary

Lzro Diary is a visual odyssey that fuses science fiction with personal exploration. Inspired by the vastness and diversity of the solar system, the project reflects on how astronomical scales and dimensions can influence narrative. For instance, the comparison between Jupiter's diameter of approximately 142,984 km and Earth's 12,756 km highlights the immensity of the universe.

This cosmic perspective intertwines with Lazaro's journey through unknown dimensions, confronting creatures that challenge human understanding. The narrative invites the audience to reflect on their place in the cosmos and the possibility of realities beyond our perception.
