Description

La Dimensión Imposible (The Impossible Dimension) is a transmedia universe where cute aesthetics meet deep explorations of identity, sustainability, and digital consciousness.
It merges 3D animation, collectible NFTs, physical objects, and a gamified metaverse experience in Decentraland, inviting visitors to glitch through portals into a surreal and friendly world.

This project is both a personal narrative and a collaborative platform, where characters like Chiri guide players through nonlinear journeys of care, resistance, and imagination.

Timeline

From conceptual worldbuilding to 3D characters, immersive spaces, NFTs, and physical merch — La Dimensión Imposible has evolved over several years, with each phase expanding the project's reach across Web3, virtual fashion, and interactive storytelling.

  • Year 1: Character design, early animations, and narrative development

  • Year 2: Integration with Web3 platforms (Zora, Base, Tezos), NFT collectibles

  • Year 3: Physical production (ceramics, zines, plush), launch of Decentraland prototype

  • Now: Live events, international expansion, and multiplatform publishing

All while balancing collaborations and parallel creative projects.

Background

La Dimensión Imposible was born from a desire to create a poetic and immersive world where technology and nature can coexist in harmony. Inspired by my hometown in Argentina, the project explores themes of self sufficiency, identity, and magic through metaverse in world storytelling, animated chapters, and cooperative adventures.

Built as a self-initiated ecosystem, it merges handcrafted elements with digital tools like Blender and Marvelous Designer, while leveraging Web3 technologies to create community driven experiences. Characters like Chiri serve as portals for emotional connection, inviting users to reflect, play, and imagine alternative futures.

Process

  • Worldbuilding: Inspired by my hometown in Argentina, I began developing a story driven multiverse mixing nature, technology, and emotional storytelling.

  • Design & Production: I created characters, 3D environments, wearables and props using Blender, Marvelous Designer and traditional sculpting for ceramic and 3D printed objects.

  • Collaboration: Partnered with web3 platforms like Zora and communities like Nouns DAO to expand the project into NFT culture and digital native storytelling.

  • Metaverse Development: Built an immersive experience in Decentraland, featuring portals, interactive objects, nounish wearables, and live events.

  • Physical Integration: Designed and produced physical merch (ceramics, fanzines, plush toys, screen-printed objects) to ground the digital world in tactile reality.

Research & Planning

Explored themes of identity, sustainability, and digital nature through personal experiences and speculative worldbuilding. Mapped out a layered narrative structure and defined interaction models that could exist simultaneously across physical and digital formats. Researched platforms (Zora, Tezos, Decentraland) to align with the project's values of openness and community ownership.

Design & Prototyping

Sketched early concepts of characters, environments, and interactive props. Prototyped 3D assets in Blender and Marvelous Designer, while also experimenting with stop motion and traditional techniques. Developed lore and character arcs centered around Chiri, using zines and small-format animation tests to validate tone and user connection.

Development & Implementation

Created fully animated characters and immersive 3D scenes. Built a Decentraland metaverse space with portal-based navigation, nounish wearables, and interactive quests. Produced physical prototypes—ceramic pieces, plush toys, printables—to mirror the digital experience. Deployed assets across Web3 platforms and integrated feedback from collectors and collaborators into the growing universe.

Solution

The project creates a seamless bridge between digital and physical realities through:

  • Immersive virtual worlds accessible via Decentraland

  • Collectible NFTs and story artifacts via Zora

  • Educational content on sustainability and tech-nature harmony

  • Handmade merch as touchpoints for real-world engagement

All connected by a strong visual identity and playful-yet-critical narrative tone.
