Description

Prevento is a mobile app prototype designed during a startup competition supported by Google. The app's goal is to streamline event planning by connecting users with all necessary service providers—venues, catering, decoration, tech, and more—within a single intuitive platform.

The idea was pitched and developed as part of a creative startup hackathon. Our team won first place, securing funding and resources to develop the app further. I contributed as the graphic and UI designer, responsible for building the visual identity and interface design of the app.

Timeline

  • Phase 1: Ideation, pitch development, and user need research

  • Phase 2: UX wireframing and early prototyping of the mobile app

  • Phase 3: UI design, branding, and presentation of the functional prototype

  • Now: Further development and incubation supported by Google’s startup program

Background

The project emerged from a shared frustration with the fragmented nature of event planning. Most people rely on word-of-mouth, spreadsheets, and disconnected platforms. Prevento was born as an all-in-one solution—bringing together verified service providers and giving users a visual, collaborative space to build and manage events effortlessly.

Process

  • Concept Development:
Worked with a multidisciplinary team to define the app's goals, features, and user personas.

  • Design & UX:
Created low- and high-fidelity wireframes using Figma. Helped structure the user journey from onboarding to event creation and supplier selection.

  • UI Design:
Developed a clean, modern visual language for the app. Designed key screens including login, dashboard, event builder, and supplier marketplace. Focused on accessibility, clarity, and aesthetics.

  • Presentation:
Helped build a functional prototype and prepared visual assets and screens for the final pitch, which led us to win first place.
